At FenSkald (accessible from https://fenskald.com), one of our main priorities is the privacy of our users. This document outlines the types of information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect your data when interacting with our platform and streaming widgets.

By using our website and services, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

FenSkald collects information to provide and improve live streaming tools (widgets, stream chat overlays, alert history, etc.). The information collected includes:

• Connected Platform Profile Info: When you link your streaming accounts (Twitch, Kick, YouTube, or Spotify) via standard OAuth flows, we collect your platform user ID, username, associated email address, and public avatar URL.
• Session Data and Cookies: We use secure, encrypted session cookies to keep you authenticated inside our control panel. Technical and functional cookies may also be used to store preferences, and optional analytical cookies may measure traffic performance.
• Authentication Tokens: We store your access tokens and refresh tokens securely and in encrypted format in our database. These tokens are used solely to renew connections with platform APIs and verify your active streams.
• Temporary Event History: We store transient records of channel events (such as recent follows, subscriptions, and reward redemptions) for the sole purpose of feeding your active OBS overlays and history log in the Dashboard.
• Payment and Billing Info (Security Clause): We explicitly declare that FenSkald does not store or process credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or sensitive financial information on our servers. All billing and payment processing for premium subscriptions is handled entirely and externally by our authorized payment processor and Merchant of Record, Tebex (Tebex.io). Tebex processes your payment details independently and only communicates subscription status confirmations and non-sensitive transactional metadata to us.

2. Third-Party Integrations

FenSkald integrates third-party APIs and services to enable unified stream overlays and interactive features. By connecting your third-party accounts, you acknowledge and agree to their respective terms and policies:

Our application utilizes the YouTube API Services to connect your channel and synchronize your streams.

FenSkald uses the official Twitch API and WebSocket connections to process data from your channel.

FenSkald utilizes integrations with the Kick API to enable reading chat and events from your Kick channel.

For the Song Request overlay widget, FenSkald allows you to link your Spotify account through Spotify's authorization flow.

• Scope of Access: We request the youtube.readonly scope to retrieve information about your active live streams and read your YouTube live chat message streams.
• Real-time Processing: When you are streaming live, we read your YouTube live chat messages in real time for the sole purpose of displaying them inside your custom overlays (such as the Multistream Chat) and your FenSkald dashboard.
• Temporary Processing and Non-Retention: YouTube chat messages and events are streamed in real time to your OBS overlays and are not permanently stored in our databases or shared with third parties.
• YouTube Terms of Service: By connecting your YouTube account to FenSkald, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, which can be reviewed at https://www.youtube.com/t/terms.
• Google Privacy Policy: Google API data is processed according to the Google Privacy Policy available at http://www.google.com/policies/privacy.
• Scope of Access: We request permissions to read chat, obtain stream details, and process real-time events (followers, subscriptions, cheers).
• Data Usage: We read chat messages and incoming events to unify them inside your OBS overlays. Chat messages and events are not permanently saved in our databases.
• Twitch Policies: By connecting your Twitch account, you agree to comply with Twitch's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
• Data Usage: We synchronize in real time chat messages and events (such as subscriptions and raids) only to display them on your custom OBS overlays. No messages are stored persistently.
• Kick Policies: The use of this integration is subject to Kick's Terms of Service and active guidelines.
• Requested Scopes: We request access to read your current playback state (currently playing song) and to add tracks to your playback queue.
• Data Usage: FenSkald only accesses the song metadata requested by your viewers to append them to your active Spotify queue. We do not access billing data, local media files, or store your playback history.
• Spotify Policies: By connecting your Spotify account, you agree to Spotify's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

3. Access Revocation and Data Deletion

We firmly believe in users' rights to control their own data. You can disconnect your platforms and delete your data at any time:

• Dashboard Disconnection: You can go to the Settings tab of your FenSkald Dashboard and click Reconnect/Disconnect. Disconnecting a platform immediately deletes all associated access tokens and records from our databases.
• Google/YouTube Permissions Revocation: In addition, you can revoke FenSkald's access to your YouTube channel at any time through the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
• Permanent Deletion Requests (GDPR / CCPA): If you want to permanently delete your account and all stored personal data from our servers, you can send an erasure request by email to support@fenskald.com. We will process and permanently remove your data within 30 days.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain our widget and overlay platform.
• Synchronize chat streams from multiple platforms (YouTube, Twitch, Kick) into a unified channel for your stream.
• Display milestone progress (Goal Bar, Event Carousel) based on subscriptions, Super Chats, and memberships coming from active streams.
• Prevent abuse, fraud, and ensure the technical security of the service.

5. Data Security

FenSkald adopts high-level technical and administrative security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. OAuth authentication tokens are encrypted in transit and at rest before being saved in our secure database provider (Supabase).

6. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the date of last modification. You are advised to review this page periodically.

7. Data of people who donate

When someone donates through a FenSkald page, we process data belonging to a person who may not be a user of the Service.

• What we store: the name the person voluntarily types — they may leave it blank and donate anonymously — the message they choose to send, the amount, the currency and the transaction identifier PayPal reports to us.
• What we do not store: any payment data. FenSkald never sees or stores card numbers, PayPal credentials or the donor's email address.
• Why: to show the donation on the creator's stream, add it to their counters and keep a record that it happened. That is the purpose for which the data is provided when the donate button is pressed.
• Who sees it: the creator receiving the donation and, if they have that option enabled, whoever is watching their stream when the alert is displayed.
• For how long: we keep the record while the creator's account remains active. Donations that are started and never completed are deleted periodically.
• Exercising rights: anyone who has donated may request access to, correction of or deletion of their name and message by writing to the contact address in this policy.
